Chris, Christina, and Max

It is always a pleasure to photograph this wonderful family. I have known Christina & Chris for a long time (they actually met in one of my art history courses years ago!). I had the pleasure of photographing Christina when she was pregnant, then a family session a year later, and then a few days ago in Finnerty Gardens at UVic. Outdoor photo sessions in November can be perfect if it’s not raining: the lush greenery of Victoria paired with the diffuse lighting–thanks to impending rain clouds–is a photographer’s dream (at least my dream!) Here’s some of my photo picks from the session.

About Nancy Yakimoski

While my most important roles are mommy & wife, I chase my bliss in a few different directions: commercial photography, art photography, writing, and shaping the minds of upcoming creative thinkers in my dream job--an instructor in what I think is the best visual arts foundation program in Canada. Ultimately, though, I think of myself as a prairie girl who loves the ocean.

What a perfect photo of a child! His scrunched up face makes it so realistic instead of a posed shot. Love your work Nancy!
